The owner of Ringkøbing Bygningssnedkeri, Ole Mortensen, has experienced a similar problem for a number of years every time new roof work had to be carried out.
With a desire to improve the workflow for his employees, Ole Mortensen talked to BAMBUS, Byggeriets Arbejdsmiljøbus. ”BAMBUS suggested that we try TAGVAC from AL-LIFT and we could see right from the start that it was a really good solution for both the employees and the company.” says Ole Mortensen.
TAGVAC is the ideal solution for laying roofing sheets in an easy and ergonomic way. TAGVAC works with vacuum suction that sucks the sheets into place, where an operating handle easily releases the vacuum lifter when the roofing sheet is laid.
Tagvac1-min Because the vacuum lifter is easy and safe to use, roofing with TAGVAC is twice as fast compared to traditional roofing. By using TAGVAC, the roofer avoids heavy lifting and the vacuum lifter saves time.
Ole Mortensen states: ”A roofing sheet typically weighs around 14kg, but by using TAGVAC, my employees are spared all the heavy lifting. In the long run, the machine will also ensure good earnings because we can do more in less time. We can quickly finish a roof and move on to the next job. The machine is easy to use and you quickly feel comfortable operating it. It doesn't take much instruction before you're familiar with it and you're already well on your way.”
The TAGVAC covers a working area of 360°; the reach is 3 metres (diameter 6 metres). The vacuum lifter can be used on all types of telehandlers where the pallet with roofing sheets is placed on the pallet fork of the telehandler.
In this way, the pallet of roofing sheets is up on the roof where the work is taking place. TAGVAC can handle both B6 and B9 roofing sheets. The suction cups on the vacuum lifter are mounted in a loose suspension system that easily adapts to the structure of the sheets.
