It’s time to put an end to diesel and gasoline in the tank

Electric and hydrogen-powered machinery is gaining a larger role in the Danish Road Directorate’s projects.

The foundation for future tenders, which will require the use of emission-free construction machinery, is currently being established in the small town of Nørager on Djursland.

Here, the contractor Forstas has secured the project to replace one kilometer of sidewalk – 500 meters on each side of the road – exclusively using electrically powered construction machinery.
